Diagnosed overheating issue in unit caused by a failed zone valve motor that had been previously forced open by maintenance personnel. Temporarily closed the valve to reduce heat in unit while documenting the required replacement part. Customer advised that valve may need to be reopened if neighbors report heat loss prior to permanent repair.
Responded to service call for NG water heater not heating completely. Diagnosed issue with error codes indicating clean screen needed and pressure switch open. Inspected unit (manufactured 07/19) and restored proper operation by cleaning screen and addressing pressure switch malfunction.
